Trip to Kentucky

This was after he had blown out his candles and they relit. He was so funny.

Rain bow after the storm. This was taken from Vivian's front yard.
Vivian and Nathan, such a beautiful couple.

Ok, I didn't load these pictures up right. This is when they were finishing up their push ups.

Nathaniel doing push ups like his Daddy.

They are fixing to do their pushups.

We went last weekend to Fort Campbell, Kentucky to visit Vivian, Nathan and Nathaniel. We also celebrated Dwight and Nathaniel's birthdays. When Vivian had Nathaniel (by C-section) Dwight wanted to know why the Dr. didn't wait until after midnight to deliver the baby! (you can tell he's a man and has NEVER had a baby!! LOL!!) He was saying that because Nathaniel was born at 11:22 p.m on March 23rd and Dwight's birthday is March 24th.

We had a wonderful visit with them. We went to Nashville, TN to the Opry Mills Mall to do some Easter clothes shopping. I got a skirt at Christopher and Banks store and some books at the $5 Christian book store. We found Nathaniel's Easter outfit. He's gonna look sooooo cute in them. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I get some of him in his Easter outfit.

Vivian made a cake for their birthdays and Nathan got some of those relighting trick candles to put on Nathaniels side of the cake. Poor baby didn't understand why those candles kept lighting up after he blew them out. So he just kept blowing them out again! It was soooo funny! Saturday afternoon we went to a birthday party for Nathan's Sgt.'s little boy. When we left the weather got really bad and it hailed on us some. Thank the good Lord we made it back to Vivian's house safely.

I'm not too good at adding pictures but I'm trying to learn how to blog! These are a few pics of Nathan and Nathaniel doing pushups! Nathaniel is soo cute doing them. Also some of him blowing out his candles.

Need to blog

I'm excited because Dwight is finally back on day shift at Northrupp Grumman Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. He had been on the night shift for 2 years. He would leave at 3:00 p.m. and not get home until 3:45 a.m. There were some nights that I didn't go to sleep until time for him to get home. So needless to say, I'm glad he's on days!! Of course, last week when he started days, there was a campmeeting going on at a church that's affleated (don't think that's spelled right) with our church. They had day services and night services. So there were some early days and late nights for me! Then on Friday night our church always cooks for the concession stands. By the time we cleaned up I didn't get home until after midnight! Anyways, I kindof had this week planned on what I was going to do while Dwight was at work and he got rained out today. He came home, took a shower and went back to bed. I was being really quiet then I got sleepy and laid down at 9:30. We didn't wake up until 11:30 a.m. so there went my day. Oh, well, maybe tomorrow I can get back on schedule (whatever that is! LOL!!)

I love to take pictures and here is a few that I've taken. A friend of mine has a son that is homeschooled and will be graduating this year. He wanted me to take his senior pictures. We went to Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island, AL.

I'm not much of a blogger

I'm a Stay at Home Wife, Mom, and Grandmother. Dwight and I will celebrate our 34th Anniversary in November. I'm an Army Mom and Mom-in-law. Jonathan, our son, is stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska but is currently in Iraq. He is married and has 4 children. Mary Margaret just turned 7 on Feb. 5th. Zora Melissa will be 6 on August 27th. Jonathan, Jr. or JJ as I call him, turned 3 on January 19th. Rebecca Marie was 1 year old on Janurary 8th. I went to Alaska to be there when she was born. I got there Janurary 1st and left February 23. It is beautiful up there. It's cold but it's a dry cold which is different from down here in Alabama. One day while I was there the temperature at 11:30 a.m. was -54 degrees (yes, 54 BELOW zero!!). That was a day I didn't go outside!! Two weeks later it was 40 ABOVE zero. It was HOT that day! Think about it, that was almost 90 degree rise in temperature!!
Vivian, our daughter, is married to Nathan Miller. They are stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky which is only 8 1/2 hour drive from here! They have one little boy, Nathaniel who will be 3 on March 23. He weighed 9 lbs and 13 oz and was 22 inches long. Yes, Vivian had to have a C-Section with him. He was born at 11:22 p.m and his Papaw (Dwight) was upset that they didn't wait until after midnight to do the surgery because then Nathaniel would have been born on Papaw's birthday!
Well, guess I'll get off for now. I'll try to blog more often.
